Since 1957, the author has written numerous genealogical articles, most of
which appeared in the periodical „Wittgenstein”, published by the
Wittgensteiner
Heimatverein.
Topics are the family history of individual families and chronicles of old
farms and other old apartment houses within a village. All articles are based
on the Wittgenstein Family Database and other documents from the archives (see
Sources). The chronicles contain house
ownership history from the 16th all the way to the 19th
century, as well as apartment houses from the 18th century. They
cover special events as well as the succession history.
The chronicles contain family data in abbreviated form, but specific
individuals can easily be identified and their data obtained from the
database.
The local press has reported several times on the author’s work.
